How to set a "Welcome message" when a new friend joins the official account?

When a new friend joins the official account, most brands will set a welcome message. Some brands will offer product introductions and special discounts in their welcome messages to increase interaction with friends. In MAAC you can refer to the following settings process for new friends to join.

➤ Auto reply

1. Plan scenario: Any friend who joins from any source will be able to see this welcome message. eg. When friends join LINE OA by searching the official account, the official account ID, or clicking the official account invitation button.

2. Setting process: Click MAAC "Applications > Auto-reply > create auto-reply , and select "welcome message" in trigger.

➤ Deeplink

1. Plan scenario: This welcome message can only be seen by friends who have joined from specific sources. eg. Specific FB posts, official website checkout page, physical store, physical campaign.
2. Setting process: Click MAAC "Applications > Deeplink. Different deeplinks can be created for different official website pages, different stores, and different posts. Different tags are applied to different sources, in order to create the segment afterward.

➤ What will happen when "Auto-reply - Welcome Message" and "Deeplink" are turned on at the same time?

1. When friends join LINE OA by searching the official account, the official account ID, or clicking the official account invitation button, they'll only receive the welcome message from "Auto-reply - Welcome message". 

2. When friends join by scanning or clicking the "Deeplink": They'll receive "Auto-reply - Welcome message" and  Welcome message from "Deeplink" at the same time.

➤ Our advice for different scenarios

1. If you want to turn on “Auto-reply” and "Deeplink" at the same time and provide special discounts & information to new friends from specific sources:
   For example, If you want to open "Auto-reply - Welcome Message", and you don't want to let your friends miss any welcome message.  e.g. For those who want to join the specific store in Taichung, we will give you special discounts. In this situation, you can refer to the following settings: 
   
   
   • Auto-reply -  Welcome message: chat information 、product information、official website discounts ......and so on.
     
   • Deeplink： Providing a unique website page in a welcome message from deeplink, or new Friends discounts at exclusive stores.
     
     
2. If you want to open "Auto-reply - Welcome Message", and you don't want to let your friends miss any welcome message. But at the same time, if you don't want to give exclusive discounts to friends who join from specific stores/sources, and only want to find out the friend's join source tag afterward, you can refer to the following settings:

• Auto-reply -  Welcome message: chat information 、product information、official website discounts ......and so on.
  
• Deeplink： Set the tags only, and turn the message Off.
  💡 Reminder： Remember to close the welcome message from the LINE OA backend, otherwise, the welcome message in the LINE OA backend and MAAC will be triggered when new friends join!
