If your account is certified (green or blue shield), you can go to Audience > Contacts >Import > LINE API to import all existing LINE contacts with one click.
➤ Importing or Updating Existing LINE Contacts’ Information or Tags
If you have a batch of LINE contact data, you can follow these steps to manually upload/update to the MAAC backend using a CSV file.
⬇️ Steps for Manual Data Import -1 (Use LINE UID or Customer ID as Key value)
- Go to Contact Management > Contacts > Import > Import data manually
- In the basic settings, choose one of LINE UID or Customer ID as the Key value for import:

LINE UID: Suitable for most brands. If you have a batch of LINE users' LINE UIDs, you can use them as the Key value for identifying members to import user data and tags.
(Support synchronization of contact information to CAAC, you can choose whether to synchronize)
*All contacts in the uploaded file can be tagged uniformly. For example: 0201_update, official website LINE login*

Customer ID: The brand must be using the LINE membership binding function and have data stored in the Customer ID field in MAAC.

The order and names of fields in the template cannot be changed, as it will result in upload failure.Please follow specifications for the content of each field.
Field restriction description:- File: CSV, max 15MB, allows importing up to 300,000 contacts once. If synchronization to CAAC, then allows importing up to 50,000 contacts once.
- The field titles and LINE UID must be included, and the contact information will be automatically updated after import completion.
- Display_name: Max 255 characters
- Gender: Only 'female', 'male', or 'unknown' are accepted
- Mobile: The mobile phone format must comply with regional rules or E.164 format. For example, Taiwan can accept "0912345678" and "+886912345678"
- Birthday: Only the format YYYY-MM-DD is accepted
- Tag: Max 50 characters for each. For multiple tags, use ',' (comma) as separators. Each tag intensity will be added once the import process is finished.Please delete the sample data, and fill in the LINE friend information which you obtained from other external vendors, your own official website background / CRM / CDP and other platforms, such as LINE UID, birthday, phone number, tags, etc.
- After filling in the template, save it as a CSV file and upload it.
- If the file includes phone numbers, select the country of the phone numbers.
- If the file includes phone numbers, select the country of the phone numbers.
- Click "Import" at the top right to start the import.
- After clicking Import, the import will start, and you can see whether the import process is completed and successful.
- Once the import is complete, you can check the import status by clicking the bell icon at the top right.
- Import list total: the total number of contacts in this update
- Updated: The total number of contacts whose information has been updated after this import
- Contacts that cannot be successfully imported: For contacts that cannot be successfully imported, you can check the reason and click the download link to confirm the list and error content that cannot be successfully uploaded. Please correct the file content and upload again.
⬇️ Steps for Manual Data Import -2 (Use Phone Number as Key value)
- Go to Contact Management > Contacts > Import > Import data manually
- In the basic settings, choose one of Phone Number as the Key value for import:

Phone Number: Suitable for most brands, use the phone number as the key.
The phone number is the key value. You can use the phone number as the identification value. If you have a brand that uses the SMS push function, you need a phone number before you can push it.
*You can choose "Import only mobile phone numbers " or "Import multiple contact information - csv file"
*You can directly use the contacts uploaded this time to create a segment while importing.
*All contacts in the uploaded file can be tagged uniformly. For example: 0201_update, official website LINE login*

- Create Focus > ON
- Enter the segment name
- After the contact import is completed, the segment will be created simultaneously
- After completing the import, you can go to segment list

Quickly upload numbers by pasting them. It is suitable for uploading only mobile phone number contacts. The limit for each import is 10,000 numbers

🌟 Dummy-proof phone number format correction during contact upload
If the file you upload contains a phone number, the system will automatically correct the phone number to E.164 format after you select the country where the phone number belongs to upload.
Example for Taiwanese mobile phone:

If there are errors, download the error description file, correct it, and re-upload.
- If there is a download link for the error reason, please click the link to download the error description file, correct the content and upload it again for import.
▶︎ Importing Contacts Scenario Example
- Scenario 1: There is a contact with LINE UID. Use LINE UID as the key value to import the contact with other information (such as birthday, phone number, label, etc.). The system will compare the LINE UID and update the existing contact information.
- Scenario 2: If a contact already has a LINE UID, use the phone number as the key value to import the contact with a label. The system will compare the existing contact information to see if it has the same phone number. If the comparison is successful, the contact will be The information is updated, if not, new contact information will be created.
- Scenario 3: If a contact already has a phone number and uses LINE UID as the Key value to import the contact with other information (such as birthday, phone number, label, etc.), new contact information will be created.

➤ Export Steps
- Go to Members > Import/Export > Export, and you can choose to export all friends, active friends or blocked friends list.
- Click "Start export " to start exporting.
- You can click the small bell in the upper right corner of the screen to view the link to the exported file and click to download the full list.
➤ Why is the exported member information garbled?
- Reason: The CSV file exported from MAAC is in UTF8 format, and opening CSV UTF8 with Excel will display garbled characters or abnormal
- Solution
- Method 1: After opening with the notebook's built-in computer, it can be opened after transferring to "UTF-8 with BOM" encoding.
- Method 2: Open Excel > Data > From Text/CSV, and select the CSV to import, and select "65001: Unicode (UTF-8)" to open the file.
- Method 3: A quick solution is to directly upload the Excel file to Google Drive, and use Google Excel to open the file to view the original data

When converting phone numbers to international format, it's common for the first digit to be zero. Here are the steps:
