In the features like segmented broadcasts, message templates, and auto-replies, if you want to ensure that the formatting and content display correctly after sending, you can designate a specific user as a tester and send a test message to verify everything is correct before scheduling, creating templates, or drafting messages.
💡 Note:
Adding a tester does not mean adding a backend administrator. Brands can follow the steps below to add internal members as message testers on their own. However, to add a backend administrator, you can follow the tutorial : Tutorials|How to add MAAC users ?
▶︎ Setup Steps:
- Have the user join the brand's LINE official account and become a follower.
- Go to the MAAC, click on Account > Permission Management.
-
On the page, select Tester > Add Tester.
- You can search by LINE display name, LINE UID, or Customer ID. Click Add to successfully add the tester.
Once you've added the tester, return to the editor for segmented broadcasts or auto-replies. After editing the content, click Send Test Message in the top right corner. You can then select the tester you just added and send a test message.
💡 Reminder: Sending test messages will count towards your message quota. Please check in LINE’s official account to ensure sufficient message credits.
💡 Reminder: If you're unable to find a user when searching due to duplicate LINE display names or special characters, follow these steps:
- Click Audience on the left sidebar to enter the contact list. Use the search bar to look for the user's LINE display name and compare the profile pictures to find the correct user.
-
Once you find the user, click on them and copy their LINE UID.
- Return to Account > Permission Management > Tester > Add Tester, change the search filter to LINE UID, and paste the copied UID to successfully find the user and add them as a tester.
