💁🏻♀️ SMS+ Point Deduction Mechanism ➤ Point Deduction Mechanism
When brands use the SMS+ API to send:
- Notification Messages
- SMS Messages
- Excessive Messages
The SMS+ service deducts points from the brand's SMS+ prepaid balance. The actual points deducted depend on the specific plan purchased by the brand. For detailed information, you can refer to the pricing details provided by Crescendo Lab.
⚠️ Please note that if an international text message is sent, the text message fee will be calculated at 5 times the Taiwan text message price.
➤ Balance
When the system triggers the SMS+ API, sending quotas are pre-allocated. The sending status of SMS and notification messages is confirmed over approximately 1 day to determine success or failure. (Reasons for SMS sending failure include poor signal, mobile numbers not accepting marketing messages, etc.)
The day after sending, if sending quotas were not utilized successfully, the corresponding points will be returned.
For example: With a remaining quota of 10,000 sends, if 5,000 notification messages were triggered on 4/7 and 4,500 messages were successfully sent, the system will display 5,000 remaining on 4/7. Then on 4/9, the system will return 500 points and show a remaining quota of 5,500 sends.
➤ Point Deduction for SMS and Notification Messages
The current SMS+ message sending mechanism allows for configuration:
- If a notification message is not received within N minutes, an SMS will be forwarded.
- Only when a notification message is successfully delivered will SMS+ proceed with the notification message billing process and deduct prepaid points. (Note 1)
In certain scenarios, it's possible to receive both a notification message and an SMS simultaneously:
Assuming a time setting of 60 minutes, if a notification message is triggered at 12:00 and the consumer hasn't received it by 13:00, an SMS will be forwarded. If the consumer opens the message within 24 hours, it will be considered that they received a notification message.
Note 1: The successful delivery of a notification message is defined as the official brand account successfully sending the notification message.
💁🏻♀️ SMS+ Recharge Mechanism
The credit displayed in MAAC is not updated in real-time. When you perform a recharge, you will receive the latest figure, including the replenishment that is scheduled for one day later. As a result, the number displayed after a recharge might not simply be the original credit plus the recharged amount.
➤ SMS+ Recharge Reminder Email
When the SMS+ point balance of a brand falls below【4,500 points】or the balance communicated with Crescendo Lab, a "Recharge Reminder Email" will be sent to the brand. This email serves to remind the brand to proceed with the recharge process.
➤ Recharge Process ( In TW )
- Click the "Fill out the Recharge Form" button in the email, which will take you to your company's recharge form.
- Fill out the " (SMS+) - Recharge Amount" and "Expected Remittance Date" fields in the recharge form.
- Once completed, Crescendo Lab will provide a quotation within 2-3 days.
- The brand should provide the stamped document of the "Recharge Quotation" and complete the remittance.
- After Crescendo Lab confirms the receipt of funds, the recharge process will be completed within 1 business day, and a notification will be sent via email.
