💁🏻♀️ In July 2023, Crescendo Lab released a brand-new automated messaging solution: SMS+.
If the brand has opted for the [SMS+ API] service, MAAC functionality for "MAAC Manual Upload" is not supported. Brands need to use the [SMS+ API] for message sending.
▶︎ What are Notification Messages?
Notification messages allow brands to send important information such as member benefits and order notifications. As long as you have the member's mobile number, you can send a notification message to them. Once the mobile number is successfully matched in the LINE database, even users who haven't added your brand as a friend can receive notifications.
▶︎ Benefits of Manual Upload
Previously, we provided API integration for sending notification messages.
However, we have now introduced the "Manual Upload" feature in the MAAC platform. With this feature, you can directly send notification messages through the MAAC backend without needing to integrate with external platforms or involve engineers. Marketing professionals can use the MAAC platform to send notification messages, contributing to an increase in new friend connections and friend bindings.
🚨 Note: If your brand has opted for the 【SMS+】 service, the "MAAC Manual Upload" feature is not supported. Brands need to use the 【SMS+】 API for message sending.
▶︎ Achievable Steps
- You can directly set up notification message content, upload recipient lists, and send messages in the MAAC platform based on different scenarios.
- You can configure specific SMS links within the message content. Once configured, provide the details to MAAC for setting up the SMS content. Consumers can directly join your brand's official account by clicking the SMS link, becoming LINE friends, and subsequently receiving specific messages.
▶︎ Configuration Steps
➤ Preliminary Preparation
- Begin by contacting your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to purchase notification message services and complete any necessary qualification applications (Dedicated personnel from the Crescendo Lab will assist you throughout the application process).
- From your member database or platform management system, export a batch of recipient lists for sending.
➤ Accessing the Backend
- Navigate to the left-hand menu > Automated > SMS+
- Select the desired sending scenario.
- Click the rightmost arrow to access the formal sending page.
- Import the batch of recipient lists prepared in the preliminary step (in CSV or XLSX format). The file size limit is 25 MB. You can customize parameter names within the CSV or XLSX file.
For instance: Registration Time > registration_date -
After uploading, the preview column will display data from the first two rows, which you can check and verify. Also, please ensure that the total "Imported Rows" count matches the file's actual content.
- Under "Choose Imported List Columns Matching Parameters," select the corresponding columns for each parameter.
- Preview the template for the notification message on the right side.
- Once all settings are complete and verified, click the "Send" button to initiate the sending process.
- If you need to delete an imported list, simply move your mouse over the rightmost side of the file's row, and a trash bin icon will appear for deletion.
▶︎ List Performance
- In the [SMS+] list, you can use the upper-left time range option to understand the sending data and performance within a specific time period.
- You can gain insights into the total triggers for messages in various scenarios.
- You can also know how many notification messages were successfully delivered after triggering, as well as how many were forwarded as SMS.
- For instance, if a message triggered on 8/3 results in notification messages being delivered on 8/3 and SMS being sent on 8/4, the data will be attributed to the messages triggered on 8/3, and thus the data will be displayed in the report for that date.
- The upper-left section will display the current balance usage, so please remember to check if a recharge is needed before sending.
🚨 Reminder:
- The list data is updated every hour.
- The total trigger count might not equal the sum of notification messages delivered and forwarded SMS delivered. This is due to varying waiting times for forwarding SMS set by different brands during configuration, which could result in cases of repeated triggering
