This article walks you through linking a Threads account to Social Automation – ideal for social managers who want to grow engagement on Threads. Once linked, you can set up comment auto-reply campaigns for your Threads posts.
Threads is linked independently. The Social Connections page has its own 【Link Threads】 button, and the flow does not require a Facebook Page or a pre-linked Instagram. Unlike Instagram / Facebook, which have to be reached through "a Page you admin," Threads has an entirely separate setup path.
Steps
The whole flow has just three steps: start the link from the admin panel, authorize on Threads, and return to confirm. It usually takes only a few minutes.
Step 1: Go to 【Social Connections】 and click 【Link Threads】
Sign in to the admin panel, go to the 【Social Connections】 page, and click the 【Link Threads】 button (it is a separate button from the Instagram / Facebook entry point).
Step 2: Allow permissions on the Threads authorization screen
The system will redirect you to the official Threads authorization screen. Confirm that you are signed in with the Threads account you want to run campaigns for, and allow the requested permissions so Social Automation can read comments and reply to posts on your behalf.

Step 3: Return to the admin panel to confirm the Threads account appears
After authorization, you will be redirected back to the admin panel. Go to the 【Social Connections】 page and confirm that your Threads account appears in the Linked list with a normal status – that means the link succeeded.

If the Threads account is not in the list, the most common cause is a permission that wasn't allowed on the authorization screen. Click 【Link Threads】 again and make sure to allow every permission on the authorization screen.
