Linking a social account is the first step to using Social Automation. Once you authorize your Instagram or Facebook Page to the system, you can auto-reply to post comments and route commenters into DM. This article walks you through a full linking flow and explains how to troubleshoot the most common failures.

Nine out of ten linking failures come from missing one of these:
① Instagram is a "Professional account" (Business or Creator), not a personal account.
② That Instagram is connected to a Facebook Page, and you are an admin of that Page.
Before you start
The system reaches your Instagram Business account through "the Facebook Page you manage," so the Page setup has to be right first. Before you begin, confirm the following:
| Account to link | Requirements | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Professional account + connected to a Facebook Page you manage | Instagram app → "Settings and privacy" → "Account type and tools" to confirm Professional account; check "Sharing to other apps" or Page settings to confirm the Facebook Page connection | |
| Facebook Page | Your Facebook account is an admin of the Page | Meta Business Suite → select the Page → "Settings" → confirm your role is Admin |
Steps
Step 1: Go to "Social Connections"
Sign in to the Social Automation admin panel, go to the 【Social Connections】 page, and click 【+ Link Meta Account】 at the top right.
Step 2: On the Facebook authorization screen, allow everything and select your Page
The system will redirect you to the Facebook authorization screen. This step is what makes or breaks the link:
- Keep every permission allowed. Do not uncheck any of them.
- When you reach "Choose which Pages to use," select the Page you want to automate. We recommend choosing "All Pages," including any Pages you have just created, so nothing gets missed.
Screenshot to be added: this is Facebook's official authorization screen (not a product screen); a real screenshot will be added when linking is available – allow all permissions and select all Pages on the "Choose Pages" screen.
If you only select Instagram but do not select the Facebook Page it is connected to, the system will receive "0 Pages" and the link will fail (you will see "No manageable Pages found"). If you have just created a new Page on Facebook, be sure to select the new Page here as well.
Step 3: Return to the admin panel to confirm
After authorization, you will be redirected back to the 【Social Connections】 page. The Facebook Page you just authorized and the Instagram account connected to it should now appear in the Linked list, which means the link succeeded.

FAQs
Q: What should I do if I see "No manageable Pages found" (no_pages) after linking?
A: It means the system did not receive any Facebook Page. Three common causes: ① your Instagram is not connected to a Facebook Page; ② you are not an admin of that Page; ③ you did not select the Page during authorization. Set up the Page correctly following "Before you start," then link again and select all Pages on the authorization screen.
Q: I clicked "Remove" in the admin panel. Why does relinking still pick up the old Page?
A: Removing from the admin panel only deletes the record on our side; it does not revoke authorization on Facebook. Go to Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations and remove this app, then link again. Facebook will let you pick all Pages fresh.
Q: Can I link a personal Instagram account?
A: No. Switch your Instagram to a "Professional account" (Business or Creator) in the Instagram app, connect it to a Facebook Page you manage, and then come back to link.
Q: How many accounts can I link?
A: It depends on your plan – Lite: 2, Standard: 5, Pro: unlimited (FB / IG / Threads accounts combined). See [Feature Overview|Plans and Pricing] for details.
